Apply for Dog Training

training-dogThanks for your interest in applying for dog training.

We want to ensure your dog gets the training it needs to be the best dog around. For some dogs, group training is a good solution. For other dogs, private training is required.

Before training can begin, we need to understand your dog’s behaviours and unique personality.

This is why before we approve any registration, we assess your canine using our rigorous application process.

The first step of this process is to fill out our comprehensive online form. Once you’ve submitted your form, we’ll review your answers and then contact you. We’ll then meet you and your dog for the second step of our application process, an in-person evaluation at our location.

To begin the application process, please choose your trainer and access the form at the link below the profile. It should take you no more than 10 minutes to fill out.

Janet Burns

mom&joey7 2Janet is not only the owner of Dog Dayz, but also a professional dog trainer/canine behaviour consultant and graduate of the Canadian Canine Training Academy. A life long lover of dogs, she’s worked hard to follow her passion, training and caring for dogs on a full time basis.

An encounter with an aggressive dog compelled her to learn more about dog behaviour. Since then, my focus has been on helping canines become well mannered, happy family pets.

With her balanced approach to training, unwanted behaviour isn’t ignored; rather, it’s corrected, with praise heaped on when a command is followed. As well, I help owners become leaders to their dogs, people their pets look up to with love and respect.

As a member of the Canadian Association of Pet Dog Trainers, The International Association of Canine Professionals and with certification in Pet First Aid and CPR, she’s fully qualified to effectively train and care for your dog.

Janet would love to train your dog and is available for private lessons!

Monika Lisak

Monika LisakMonika grew up with dogs and learned from an early age that each dog is unique and has different ways of learning.

This was brought to light even more when she started working with rescue dogs for the better part of 10 years fostering, training, working with foster homes and adopters all confirmed the great need for trainers to help people work with their dogs and create a happy, harmonious and balanced relationship.

Every dog deserves to live in a healthy state of mind each and every day. Giving any dog the chance for a wonderful life begins with helping our puppies off to the right start!  Good manners begin at home!
